Your future responsibilities
- Establish, lead, and advance a new research unit, building a team of 10-20 researchers.
- Acquire financial resources to operate the research unit through the different cooperation models of SAL.
- Strategically plan and allocate resources for the Research Unit, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

You will be responsible for purchasing defined categories to secure the production units according to the internal, commercial, technical and legal requirements (negotiation, contract management, disposition and claim management) -
You will lead Global Category Management: develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with cost- and risk control for selected global categories aligned with purchasing-related rules -
You will conduct negotiations using Lenzing Supplier-Relation-Management (SRM)-system -
You will identify and implement savings potentials in the defined category groups as well as a correct description and tracking in the Lenzing PIM (Purchase Initiative Management)-system -
You will plan the annual budgets for the defined categories and secure to keep the budget. -
You will conduct global market research to detect market opportunities and derive decision base

- Degree in Business Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in a comparable product management role, ideally within the POS product environment.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English; German language skills are a plus.

- Proven success in managing end-to-end product development projects and leading sustainability optimization initiatives, integrating sustainability principles into product design.

- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a data professional (e.g. data engineer, data scientist) or in a business/IT consulting position
- Strong and proven knowledge in SQL and database cloud solutions, ideally Snowflake, combined with proficiency in standard data architecture design and modelling.
- Expertise in using Python and Git/Github is expected; familiarity with PySpark and Snowpark will be a strong plus
- Experience in creating interactive web apps (e.g., using Streamlit or RShiny) and knowledge of business intelligence tools like Tableau and Power BI are beneficial
