Your future responsibilities
- Take on full project responsibilities by continuously assessing the progress targeting given timeframe, budget and deliverables.
- Organize work, align resources and coordinate the project team and external collaborators, suppliers, partners.
- Define and monitor project KPIs and objectives together with Project Owners and Department Managers.
- Regularly report project status to internal stakeholders and external partners and customers.
- Identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Manage multi-firm consortia (typically up to 10 partners) collaborating in research projects both nationally and internationally.
- Maintain the projects overview managing interdependencies of several project responsibilities and coordinating multiple workstreams within each project
- Oversee financial planning and control in line with the business objective of the unit.
- Manage the Research Unit’s project portfolio and support resource planning and control.
- Support of the project acquisition and thereby being constantly involved in the future research topics to come.

Data Insights: Perform in-depth exploratory and statistical modeling on system-generated data to identify actionable insights. Validation: Build, evaluate, and validate models using rigorous performance metrics and experimentation frameworks. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering and product teams to support model integration into production platforms. Reporting: Communicate complex analytical findings and model limitations through clear visualizations and documentation. Performance Monitoring: Monitor model health over time and recommend recalibrations or retraining as needed.

Core Development: Design and program embedded software using C/C++ for state-of-the-art microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, STM32, ESP32). Real-Time Systems: Implementation of sophisticated real-time applications using RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS). Connectivity & Protocols: Implement and optimize communication protocols (MQTT, Modbus, CAN, I2C, SPI) and integrate wireless standards such as Bluetooth, ZigBee, LoRa, or Wi-Fi. Hardware-Near Coding: Develop drivers for peripheral devices and perform low-level debugging and error analysis directly on the hardware. Documentation: Create technical specifications, developer documentation, and comprehensive test concepts to ensure high-quality releases.
