Purpose & key responsibilities of the role
The Senior Project Manager Value Creation will be responsible for leading and executing transformation projects - such as asset footprint and target operating model - with the overarching aims of improving business performance, increasing profitability, and adapting to evolving market conditions.
The role will entail responsibility for every stage of the process: analyzing data, developing transformation initiatives & strategies, playing a key role in implementing the changes, and monitoring their effectiveness.
Key tasks & main accountabilities

You will lead the planning and execution of transformation strategies, collaborating closely with senior leaders across functions to translate strategic goals into detailed, executable roadmaps for operational and organizational improvement

You will develop asset footprint options for Lenzing Group: identifying, evaluating and recommending optimal asset configuration globally to increase cost efficiency, streamline operations and improve long-term competitiveness

You will manage stakeholders at various levels of the organization, acting as key liaison between project teams, executive leaders and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency and buy-in throughout the transformation process

You will design and deploy a future-proof operating model that aligns organizational structure, capabilities and processes with strategic objectives, including the definition of key-functional roles and decision-making governance across regions in close collaboration with HR, Finance and Operations

You will oversee and monitor the progress of transformation initiatives, by establishing project tracking mechanisms, KPIs and a reporting structure to ensure timely and effective implementation of restructuring efforts
Your ideal profile

You hold a Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field

You have 10+ years of experience in consulting and corporate transformation/PMO, and a solid background in industrial manufacturing

You are highly knowledgeable in business restructuring, asset optimization, and organizational design, and you have a strong command of financial modelling, restructuring KPIs, and performance tracking

You can manage complexity and handle ambiguity; you have excellent analytical and project management skills, and a strategic mindset

You are fluent in English (C1), both spoken and written; and you have exceptional analytical skills

The annual gross salary for this position is according to collective agreement in the chemical industry based on 38 working hours/week at least EUR 85.400.- with a willingness to overpay – depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally you will also take part in the Lenzing bonus system. We offer flexible working time and remote working options.
