In a nutshell
As the Programming Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the content programming strategy for the Red Bull Motorsports Network. You’ll report to the Head of Motorsports Network, ensuring that audience, platform, and content strategies align seamlessly. You’ll drive release planning and guide local markets, ensuring the motorsports presence remains globally consistent while staying locally relevant. Additionally, you’ll oversee the Programming and Social team, providing strong leadership and vision.
Channel Performance and Optimization
You’ll optimize channel performance and ensure everything runs smoothly. You’ll use analytics, scheduling, featuring, and customized functionalities to enhance channel performance while driving seamless consumer journeys across platforms. Evaluating content performance will also be a priority, and you’ll deliver actionable recommendations to continuously improve results.
Digital Strategy & Audience Engagement
In this role, you’ll drive programming strategy and execution. You’ll create programming plans and manage the day-to-day operations of the Red Bull Motorsports Network channels, including content programming and community management. You’ll define audience and platform strategies, ensuring content resonates with core, casual, and mainstream audiences while adapting strategies to meet platform-specific requirements. Additionally, you’ll use a mix of local and global properties and talent to maintain year-round audience engagement, tailoring content to different audience segments. You’ll also provide guidance to local markets on motorsports programming, helping them with audience targeting, platform selection, and implementing best practices.
Leadership & Collaboration
Finally, you’ll take on leadership and collaboration responsibilities. You’ll act as a strategic partner to the Head of Motorsports Network, working together to co-develop programming strategies and challenging assumptions to drive innovation. You’ll manage the Programming and Social team, ensuring workflows run smoothly, alignment is maintained, and team members are supported in their professional development. By fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture, you’ll ensure empathy and effective communication remain at the heart of your project and people management approach.
EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
- 5+ years' experience in digital strategy/content programming, digital media, or sports media.
- Proven experience in leading teams within a fast-paced, international, and creative environment.
- Passion for motorsports, the Red Bull brand, and its values, with the ability to translate them into meaningful online engagement and brand love.
- Hands-on experience managing social media accounts and/or programming websites and apps.
- Strong background in data-driven content strategy and performance evaluation. Expert understanding of digital consumer behaviour: where audiences live, how they consume content, and how to effectively engage them.
- A team player and self-starter mentality, curious, structured, with the ability to build trust and motivate teams. A good mediator who aligns and coordinates conflicts of interest.
- Fluent in English. Other languages not required but considered an asset.

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is €2.303 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
